These are from the time when I got these to be donated to an elementary school in Juarez. Little did I know that all this paperwork was needed for customs to cross the border. So we ended up renting a storage unit and everyone took a set over the border, which was just fine and no paperwork was needed, only plenty of people. A month later we finally delivered them and the kids would ask their teachers, "Ms. who gets the new chairs? Is it the A students?"
The chairs were in no way new, but they were a thousands times better than what they had. Also, I could only get a classroom set, which was further divided into 3 or 4 classrooms when we got there.
It was a very humbling experience to say the least and a reminder that our actions matter and can make a difference in someone's life.
